Curious about IHerb?
What is iherb Malaysia and what is the big fuss about it?
Iherb is actually a US based online retailer of health products, supplements, even toiletries and make up.The big fuss is probably because of the affordable prices of health products and organic products that would typically be really really expensive in stores and bring them to you at a fraction of the cost!
I know you are probably saying, so what, I
find cheap products in US stores all the time but with shipping, it comes to
about the same price, and that’s where we present to you the good news!
Shipping is really affordable as well! (
See next question)
Do they Deliver to Malaysia and How much is the shipping Cost?
Yes it does! I herb delivers
internationally and Shipping to Malaysia for a package of not more than 1.8kg
cost only US$4 via International Airmail. ( very trustworthy and reliable!)
There is no tracking but the average delivery time for shipping to Malaysia via
International airmail is around 14 days.
You may also want to opt for DHL express or
UPS International if you want shipping to be expedited. These services are more
expensive and are dependent on the weight and size of your purchases but also
provide tracking of your package.
If you like to estimate the shipping cost
of the products you intend to buy, simply add them to cart and select Malaysia
as your shipping destination. You do not need to make payment or log in just
yet.
Are there any Special Rules and Regulations I need to know off before shipping my products to Malaysia?
You may want to be familiar with the following regulations issued by the Malaysian Customs.
Is the shipping cost to Malaysia really that cheap?
Yes, Believe us, it is.
I am a first time buyer from Malaysia, are there any Discount Codes for me?
For first time buyers, you are able to get
a $5 off purchases below $40 or $10 off purchases above $40. Simply type in the
iDiscount Code TVG386
before
you check out.
I am
not a first time buyer, can I create a new account to get the $10 off?
We would not recommend you do this as the company has a way of detecting fake accounts. Also, they also have a VIP programme to reward
regular customers ( a % discount off your purchases) and this discount might be
more worthwhile in the long run.
Apart
from Supplements, what else does iherb sell?
When
you go to the website’s main page, you will be able to see that they have
divided the products into 12 main categories : Supplements, Herbs , Bath and Beauty, Skin Care, Grocery , Kids and Babies, Sports, Pets (even pet products !),
Aromatherapy, Superfoods, Enzymes and Homeopathy.
The have a wide range of products which
include popular brands like, Natures Way, 21st Century, RealTechniques, Himalaya Herbal, Avalon Organics , Elf Cosmetics Malaysia and more!
Why are there so many codes around and which one should I use to get me the most discount?
I herb discounts are standard so it doesn’t
matter which discount code you use. Discount codes are actually a way for
publishers to get referral fees from the company, so you might want to utilize
the discount code from the website that is most informative!
In recent time, I hear that Malaysian custom is retricting consumers from buying and will tax the supplements accordingly. Please confirm the truth of this. Is there a way to circumvent this? THanks
ReplyDeleteI have been buying from iherbs on monthly basis, since beginning of this year using DHL shipment. Everytime I will make sure that each shipment is less than rm500 in value and no more than 2 bottles of the same supplements to avoid the tax and for personal consumption.
ReplyDeleteHowever, this month ( Nov 2016) when my shipment arrived, it comes with a red notice from ministry of health Malaysia. The warning letter as. Below
WARNING
Importation of medicines, pharmaceutical, health supplements and cosmetics without registration/notifications/ license is an OFFENCE under regulation 30(1) of the control of drugs and cosmetics regulations 1984 which is punishable with a FINE UP TO RM25,000 AND/OR 3 YEARS IMPRISONMENT under section 12(1) of the sale drugs act 1952
then better dont order from iherb but order from lazada better

ReplyDeleteI think it is a way for Customs to get their income. If you buy maximum RM500, the amount of GST payable is only RM500x6%=RM30. The imposed RM50 processing fee is actually income for Customs. So by right, a person who buys less than RM500 worth of products needs to pay RM80 or less. I see in other forums that some even have to pay more than RM150. Why is that so?
ReplyDeletehi, anyone trying to order capsule type supplement from iherb like omega? I saw a lot of comments that the capsule melted - probably due to the temperature.
ReplyDeleteI recently order from I herb and my shippment was being detained by malaysia pharmaniaga. They say the supplements I ordered from I herb aren't registered in Malaysia. So please be careful when you order from I herbs... according to shipping company I m not the first n will not be the last...I m still waiting for I herbs to approve my refund. ..very upset
